grrr no need to report to me Evil or Very Mad What's so hard about w14 btw?

I suggest only to drop medkits if we believe to have enough medkits and flares in mid.

Since we have to go to mid to see whether we get w8 mission, why not just camp there?

Anyway no one has reported the cons of my suggestion of moving nearer to middle =P there are cons to it, not sure whether u guys have experienced it yet though.

And...won't be playing tonight =( i'll be on sunday evening though. MAKE SURE YOU GUYS ARE THERE Twisted Evil

Can you please clarify your earlier idea regarding moving closer to centre? What wave are you talking about?

Also, w14 isnt too difficult. Its just we run out of ammo most of the time due to the lack of FP once again.

oh yeah..think i typed that while i was half asleep. didn't realise so much info are still missing Confused Anyway we should move shortly after killing hell. Move to that point, and trig w14. We need to pass by either of those points to get to trinity if it doesn't drop around beach area. So why not just move there first and trig?

btw, there's a mrit on w14 Razz

There was no need to move anywhere to get trinity last game because I used air recon to drop it near us!
But still, would it be better to move after shivaing hellspawn anyway, so we can blow greens? Or would it be easier to stay in position because of defilers, dogs, etc.?

can aircon (lawl Very Happy) do that all the time? If that's the case then yeah no need to move, assuming recon lives all the time. And yes, we can kill greens, but no need to move too much. Just above or below the base will be fine.

sup guys just random suggestions
but at least if not to improve overall gameplay...
to at least make forum/site more noob friendly, because thats what we really need... noobs, who can become pro and help us own this game

but anyway.. if either of you or anyone, has the time, maybe we should consider making a route guide for SO, i know theres 1 for n2
and because of the dif spawn points it could be harder for SO, but yeah at least a general route would help

and if we wanted to be mad... maybe someone could come up with a monster guide, i.e pic of monster , monster pic, monster ability/effects/special warnings, how to defeat

just a suggestion and i know itd take lots of effort... btw if you guys are bothered to do this, then id be happy to help out in any way

It would actually be much easier to spend a few seconds in game to say it rather than here. Because spawn points are different.

Basically you just explain that you do the INNER CIRCLE of the map for items, and you go past the bunker to drop off at some point.
The path you do this depends on where team lands.
Finish inner circle and trigger wave 3 at the place we always do IN TIME.
Then proceed to upper left side of the map to start OUTER CIRCLE, as we always do.

It seems that every time we get bunker mission and we complete it, we always end up dying when we leave the bunker.

Once the bunker mission is finished (wave 9), grab any medicals and road flares left otg and then move SOUTH and then right, unless there is a fat coming from south bunker entrance which means we leave the bunker via right entrance. Once we leave the bunker, we move to acquire shiva. Any fats that we encounter, you must RUN AROUND them. Saving your sprint would be wise. After that, we head back to beach and shiva the LYGANESH and co. once they are near the bridge. The bridge will collapse, which makes it easier for later levels as we only have to look at 2 sides instead of 3. This and w4 are the only tricky parts of the game. The rest of the waves from w10+ are very easy to prepare for as it is the same routine in almost all games. If we can pass w4 and w8-9 mission flawlessly then we can get consistent w14 games no doubt.

i agree that the the movement to beach is what screws up the most. Adding on to gig, do not blindly sprint past fat. Assess the situation, and decide whether it's safe to cross. Those who has already evaded fat should shoot at it to lure it away from those who have yet to pass by it.

just ask in game whenever u're confused, nobody will kill you over that Wink i'll just do a quick breakdown:
general movement of team is moving the smaller circle from w1-w3 to collect items, and a wider circle from w3-7. The rationale of this is to allow the recon to explore the map as much as possible while not being too far away from the team. There is a time limit for how long each wave can last. If we do not trigger the wave in time by killing enough creeps, all hell breaks loose Very Happy Thus, we have specific trig points which you'll get used to as you play more often.

Breakdown of the bosses and creeps -

w2 - Flesh Composite appears. May only appear to team at wave 4 trig point.

w3 - First appearance of gargoyles. Deadly when swoop together as a pack and without proper cover fire.

w4 - Etaphreven (blue doggie) and 1st appearance of devourer. Nothing much. We may have w4 mission if we have enough total xp. Lyganesh spawns on this wave but we usually only see it on w5.

w5 - 1st appearance of defiler and 2 lurkers. Read earlier posts on how to deal with them.

w6 - Most likely to get w6 mission where a hatchling will appear. Demo will set 2 walls in anticipation for it. After the 1st one is killed, a ping will appear on minimap to show where to trigger the 2nd hatchling. Killing both hatchlings will give you the xp for w6 mission.

w7 - 1st appearance of fiends. During this time, we move back to centre in preparation for w8 bunker mission, if any.

w8 - Loki (big black bird) appears. Splash damage which can be troublesome if not dealt with quickly. Bunker mission - we hold in the centre until the timer at top right corner ends. During this time, there will be defilers and 2 hatchlings coming for us.

w9 - shiva (big bad nuke) drops on map. There are different strategies from here onwards but this is the one most commonly used. After finishing bunker mission, we move off to collect shiva, then head to our beach base where we'll kill the fats and lyga with shiva.

w10 - Fiends, devourers, slashers (aka dogs) and defilers will rush at you. Nothing much but lots of killing.

w11 - 3 boss dogs appear, Mario, Luigi and Mritjuvana. The famous reviving mrit will be a pest. But with proper firepower, shouldn't be too much of a problem.

w12 - Thanatos appears. Very heavy armour, and highly likely to cause the team to be killed if not blown.

w13 - First hellspawn appears. Recon will flare at areas where it may come from. and we use shiva on it. Unlike NotD 2, it cannot be dealt with with explosives as it will burrow on sight of it.

w14 - Trinity and GDD beacon drops on map. GDD beacon pings burrowing creeps (hellspawn and lurkers) while trinity is a medium range, small AOE nuke which requires the target to be designated before it can fire. Used for hellspawns on w15.

w15 consists of 3 parts. So here we go,
w15-1 - Hellspawn spawns.
w15-2 - Cyon crashes. Part of the story plot.
w15-3 - Evacuation point is pinged on minimap. It is a dropship with lots of evil marines guarding it, and they will spawn from the ship once in a while. Before we head there, there will be 2 thanatos coming for us. So they need to be killed. Sargon, red king defiler, will unburrow below team. A wall of ce is prepared beforehand to deal with it. AT LEAST 1 hellspawn will appear before us during this time as well. As we close up near the evac point, demolition will RPG the evil marines, and we run straight for the dropship.

There you go. A very brief summary of what goes on in the game, Just note that during w10-15, there will be defilers and dogs after you. I just didn't mention it because they seem minor now Very Happy

Sounds simple to accomplish, but it's really not that easy. The core classes have a lot of responsibilities, and it's not possible to advance far without each class doing their part.

It's the same for how most of us started. We just followed the team and learn on the way. The fastest way to learn the game is by trying to understand what is going on. Ask, and you will be answered Wink
